JumpControl

FAQ & Support

Find quick solutions for setup, recording, the Archive, and licensing.

Is Archive part of Controller?

No. In version 2.0, Archive is a dedicated area available on iPad only.

What is included when I share an attempt?

Sharing from Controller sends the currently displayed video only or saves it to the photo library. Archive can transfer a complete attempt, including its video and attempt data, to another JumpControl installation.

Which functions require a license?

Only Controller requires a 30-day license. Camera and Archive are license-free.

Can JumpControl use multiple cameras?

Multiple cameras can be set up and selected in turn. This was already possible before version 2.0 and is not a new v2.0 feature. This does not promise simultaneous recording with multiple cameras.

Which frame rates does Camera support?

JumpControl offers 60, 120, and 240 frames per second. Available resolution depends on the device and selected frame rate. Recording at 240 fps does not automatically mean 4K.

Is JumpControl approved by World Athletics?

No general approval or certification of JumpControl has been established. World Athletics Technical Rule 29.5 requires video at 120 frames per second and at least 4K for the World Rankings Competitions covered by categories 1(a) and 1(b). Based on the reviewed definitions, this scope includes the World Athletics Series, the World Athletics Ultimate Championship, and the Olympic Games. For other competitions, the rule strongly recommends video technology and allows alternatives depending on availability. Check the rules for the specific competition and verify frame rate and resolution on the device and app build in use. Recording at 240 fps does not automatically mean 4K.

How do I switch to a different Camera?

Open device search in Controller and select an available device running Camera. You can switch the active Camera later. This does not promise simultaneous recording with multiple cameras.

Why is the Controller status bar gray?

Gray means recording is unavailable: either no Camera is connected or a recording has already been completed. Save the attempt if needed, then reset Controller with *.

Why is the Camera status bar red?

Red means Camera is not connected to Controller. Select Camera in Controller. The bar turns green when connected and yellow while recording.

What should users consider when saving or transferring attempts?

Videos and attempt data may be personal data. Save or transfer them only within the defined privacy and authorization process.
