Website Delivery and Security

When you visit our website, your IP address and the connection and HTTP request information needed to transmit the page are processed. This includes the page requested and technical information sent by your browser. This processing enables us to deliver and securely operate the website. The page cannot be delivered without the necessary connection information.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: our legitimate interest in providing a reliable and secure informational website.

Our website and email account are hosted by domaindiscount24 (dd24), a service of Key-Systems GmbH, Germany. Key-Systems processes the data needed for these services on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Our website is hosted in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

Processing needed to transmit a page lasts for the respective request. Retention of any additional technical operational and log data generated through hosting depends on the relevant operational and security purpose. The criteria are whether the data are needed to provide the service, investigate and resolve disruptions or abuse, or meet applicable statutory retention requirements. For data other than its business customer records, Key-Systems describes retention based on the processing purpose and legal requirements. Under the data processing agreement, Key-Systems provides its own contracted services within the European Union or the European Economic Area. We are not currently aware of any specific transfer of visitor or contact data outside the European Economic Area for our web and email hosting. Transfers to third countries are subject to Articles 44 et seq. GDPR.

Contact by Email

When you email us, we process your email address, your message, and the information you include to respond to your inquiry. You are not legally or contractually required to provide personal data for a general inquiry. Contacting us is voluntary. We cannot reply without a contact address where we can reach you. Please provide only information needed for your inquiry.

We handle general inquiries based on our legitimate interest in responding to your message under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

We receive email through our dedicated jumpcontrol@pellepepper.eu mailbox at dd24/Key-Systems, with no forwarding. The person responsible for running the business handles these messages. Key-Systems acts as our email processor; the information about web and email hosting in the preceding section also applies to this service.

Messages are manually deleted after the inquiry has been fully handled, as soon as they are no longer needed for that purpose. They are retained longer where required by statutory retention obligations or where needed to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims. In these cases, retention ends when the applicable statutory retention period expires or when the data are no longer needed for the relevant legal claim. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(c) GDPR for statutory obligations and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims where necessary.

Cookies and Display Settings

The website does not use cookies, analytics, or tracking services. Fonts, images, and other website files are provided without automatically connecting to third-party services.

The website uses your device’s appearance setting to display the site in light or dark mode. The website script processes this setting in your browser and does not store it persistently. Depending on the color scheme, your browser loads matching logo files from our website host. These requests can reveal the display variant to the host.

External Links

Our website includes links to Apple’s App Store. You access Apple’s service only when you open one of these links. Apple then receives the connection information needed to handle the request; depending on your browser settings, it may also receive information about the referring website. Our website does not automatically start a purchase or download. App Store images are loaded from our website host.

Your Rights

Subject to the applicable legal conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion, and restriction of processing. You have a right to data portability where the requirements of Article 20 GDPR are met. To handle your statutory privacy requests, we process the necessary information under Article 6(1)(c) in conjunction with Articles 12 and 15–22 GDPR.

Right to object: Where processing is based on legitimate interests, you may object at any time for reasons relating to your particular situation.

You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, particularly where you usually live, where you work, or where the alleged infringement occurred. We do not use automated decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR.
